Some New Year’s Inspiration From Steve Jobs.
As this is the beginning of a new year, and I am starting a new venture, I find myself going through a list of inspiring reads and videos I have bookmarked. For my first post of 2010, I want to share a video of Steve Jobs giving the commencement speech at Stanford in 2005. It’s only 14 minutes so if you are not one of the 3 million that have seen it, I suggest you do.
He talks about getting fired from Apple at 30, being told cancer was going to kill him within 6 months and how seemingly random things in his life had an impact on future wins when at the time, he of course had no idea of their significance. I find this speech inspiring.
